The Hanns Seidel Foundation held in Cairo its first joint workshop in 2023 within the framework of its joint project with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities. The Workshop on “Law 10/2018 and its gains and the Integrated Services Card” witnessed a great participation of representatives of Ministries of Social Solidarity and Manpower, Education, the National Council for Human Rights, a number of members of Parliament, and the Technical Office of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities.

The workshop, which lasted three days, from 7 to 9 February, aimed to discuss the most important gains obtained by persons with disabilities in the law, and discussed the challenges facing issuing an integrated services card, and how to overcome them.

The workshop included a number of sessions in which the participants discussed the issues of the right to work, vocational training for persons with disabilities, accessibility rights, and the right for education. The workshop also included in its sessions a presentation of assistive technologies to integrate and empower persons with disabilities in the society.
