Coordination meeting with Helwan University

Within the framework of the Hanns Seidel Foundation's keenness to strengthen joint cooperation with Egyptian universities to achieve the goals of inclusion of youth, women and Persons with Disabilities, the Foundation held a coordination meeting at Helwan University in the presence of Ms. Claudia Fackler, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Hanns Seidel Foundation, and in the presence of Dr. Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, to discuss cooperation activities between the university and the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Dr. Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, received the Hanns Seidel Foundation team at the Faculty of Foreign Trade in Zamalek, where he confirmed his interest in the new cooperation project with the Hanns Seidel Foundation. University vice-representatives also presented a set of suggessions about possible ideas and activities for cooperation between the two sides, especially with regard to inclusion of Persons with disabilities, and environmental projects at the university. For his part, Mr. Thomas Schama, the resident representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Egypt, confirmed that the foundation is keen to provide support for these projects within the framework of the objectives of its project in Egypt.
