In an effort to develop the capabilities of persons with disabilities, including students, employees, professors at the university and the surrounding community, also to prepare the university environment so they can perform their various life activities efficiently according to optimal level their abilities allow. Helwan University, in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, held two rounds of workshops on the “Etiquette of dealing with Persons with Disabilities”. Each workshop consisted of 3 sessions, mainly aiming at building the capacities of the university community to qualify them to deal with persons with disabilities. This has been done through tackling 2 topics which are the definitions and terminology of dealing with PWD, as well as understanding the etiquette of dealing with persons with disabilities.
