Official visit to Dakahlia Governorate

In the framework of the visit of Ms. Claudia Fackler, the Head of the Middle East & North Africa division in the Hanns-Seidel Foundation, to Egypt, the HSS team made an official visit to the premises of Dakahlya Governorate in Mansoura to hold a meeting with Dr. Ayman Mokhtar, the Governor of Dakahlya.

Ms. Claudia Fackler, and Mr. Thomas Schama, the resident representative of HSS in Egypt discussed with Dr. Ayman Mokhtar, Dr. Abdou Mohameden, the General Manager of environmental affairs and Solid Waste Management (SWM) in Dakahlia Governorate, and their team the possible cooperation projects between the HSS and Dakahlya Governorate. The projects were mainly in the Field of environment protection and solid waste management. After discussing projects, both parties expressed their willingness to start cooperation, and agreed on taking the needed steps in this regard.

It was agreed that the two parties will sign a protocol in the near future, and Dakahlya Governorate will be working on the projects proposals to be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as soon as possible, in order to start the implementation of these projects.

Finally, at the end of the meeting, Ms. Claudia Fackler was presented the shield of Dakahlya Governorate by Dr. Ayman Mokhtar as a gesture of his appreciation for the visit, and his pleasure about future cooperation.
