Awareness raising seminar for families of Persons with Visual Disabilities on mechanisms and methods of dealing with their children

Within the framework of the cooperation between the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Fagr El Tanweer Association, an awareness raising seminar was held for mothers of persons with visual disability on several topics regarding the methods of dealing with children with visual disabilities - challenges they face - psychological problems and needs.

The seminar introduced mainly short lectures from Mr. Alaa Fareed, specialist trainer for Persons with visual disabilities and included as well many discussions with the parents which gave the opportunity to share different experiences and important tips.

The participants' expressed their wishes to attend further awareness seminars on various topics on children with visual disability. They also recommended that periodical training workshops on using artificial intelligence applications be held for their children with visual disabilities.
