Inclusion of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, as well as the field of Environment.

The National Council for Persons with Disabilities

The National Council for Persons with Disabilities was established by the presidential decree No. 11/2019. The Council aims to promote, and develop the rights of persons with disabilities and their constitutional dignity and to raise awareness on such rights.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation cooperates with the NCPD in the field of Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.

Takamol Foundation for Integrated and Sustainable Development

Takamol is a non-governmental, non-profit foundation, registered under number 8340/2011, concerned with integrated sustainable development and its applications in urban and rural areas, especially informal areas all over the country. Takamol’s methods of operation hinge on three main principles:

1) Integration between development sectors (social, economic, environmental, cultural and urban) and between the roles of development partners (public, private and civil society sectors) in a way that achieves sustainability of the development efforts.

2) Support participation through acting as a facilitator and coordinator for the efforts of development partners with a view to enable local communities of their right to own and use participatory development tools.

3) Building capacity of all development partners; governmental and non-governmental.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation Cooperates with Takamol Foundation in the field of Administrative Reform

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development” (NIGSD) is a public economic organization, with advisory, training and research identity, supervised by the Minister for Planning and Economic Development.  The Institute has changed its vision and trends to serve Egypt’s Vision 2030 and to promote the concepts of governance and good governance, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers on 12 August 2020, instead of being the National Management Institute.

The Hanns seidel Foundation cooperates with the NIGSD in the fields of administrative reform, and Inclusion of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities.

Public Administration Research and Consultation Center

The Public Administration Research and Consultation Center is a leading research institution. Through research, consultation and training programs PARC Contributes to the improvement of governance in Egypt, PARC specializes in the following fields:

-Public Policy Analysis and Evaluation

-Performance Based Management

-Local Governance

-Environmental Management and Environmental Awareness

The Hanns Seidel Foundation Cooperates with PARC in the fields of Administrative Reform, Inclusion of Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities, and Environment Protection activities.

The Ministry of Local Development

The Ministry of Local Development was established with the Presidential Decree No. 325 of 1999 concerning the formation of the Ministry, which was headed by  Dr. Atef Mohamed Obeid, Prime Minister, and  appointing  Major General Mustafa Abdel Qader as a Minister of Local Development, and a Presidential Decree No. 380 of 1999 was issued containing the goals and functions of the Ministry.

During the current period, the Ministry of Local Development has made various achievements in a number of fields and files of interest to Egyptian citizens in various governorates of the Republic, aimed at improving public services to citizens, increasing the resources of governorates and safeguarding the State properties  and rights.

The Ministry of Environment (EEAA)

Presidential Decree No. 631 was issued on December 30, 1982 to establish an agency for environmental affairs headed by the Council of Ministers.

Law No. 4 of 1994 was issued in the matter of environmental protection, which regulated:

    -Establishing an environmental affairs agency that has a public legal personality and reports       to the minister concerned with environmental affairs.

    -Its center will be Cairo.

    -It has branches in the governorates, and priority is given to the industrial zones.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation Cooperates with the EEAA in the field of Environmental protection.

Fajr ElTanweer Association

“Fajr ElTanweer” for the blind is a non-profit civil association registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity under No. 7413 of 2008

Persons with visual disabilities constitute more than 50% of its board of directors, in the belief that Persons with disabilities are the most capable of defining their priorities and problems, and activating the principle of nothing that concerns us without us.

“Fajr ElTanweer” also has membership in many international and regional organizations active in the field of disability, such as the World Federation of the Blind, the African Union of the Blind, the Arab Organization for Persons with Disabilities, and others.

The vision of the association:

Adopting an integrated approach to empower Persons with visual disabilities and integrate them into society through a set of distinct activities and programmes and effective partnerships to achieve the goals of sustainable development.

Association message:

“Fajr ElTanweer” Association for the Blind provides integrated development services through a set of programs that meet the needs of Persons with visual impairments in society. “Fajr ElTanweer”, with its services, aims to support and improve the quality of life of Persons with visual impairments on the one hand, and to raise awareness about their capabilities and problems in society on the other hand.
