Artistic Program for Persons with Disabilities

The Artistic Program, which had been planned out and implemented by the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, targeted various different groups of persons with disabilities (PwDs) including the hearing impaired, persons suffering from down syndrome, persons with learning difficulties and visual impairment. Each workshop was tailored to fit the targeted group of PwDs. That was done through the selection of suitable materials, tools and techniques aiming to help them express their inner conflicts and emotions through artwork. The objective of this program was not necessarily to produce something highly artistic but to produce something that reflects their inner self.
