Designing local initiatives

Within the framework of the cooperation project between the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) and Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) and the Council’s mission to raise the capacities of the NCPD Staff members to carry out their duties and responsibilities in order to participate in achieving the social and economic empowerment of persons with disabilities, as partners in the development process, a series of training workshops have been prepared to build the institutional capacities of the Council’s employees and to raise their administrative and executive efficiency, especially in the field of designing and managing of local initiatives and in reports writing.

HSS

The training workshop on "Designing local initiatives" which started on 23rd of May till 25th aimed at:

• Learning about concept and tools of local initiatives management

• Preparing and processing proposed models for initiatives and how to develop an action plan

The workshop included several group work sessions in which the participants introduced their own Ideas for Initiatives applying the theoretical knowledge through interactive exercises.  The workshop resulted the following Initiative Ideas:

1. Combating Electronic blackmail of deaf girls

2. Solving recruitment problems for PWD

3. Integrated Services Card for PWD - Awareness and facilitating

4. Activating educational integration requirements
