ICDL Training Program

Within its effort to achieve the overall objective of supporting the inclusion of women, youth, and persons with disabilities in the Sustainable development process, the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Cooperation with Bibliotheca Alexandrina launched “Improving the Employability Prospect for Persons with Visual Disabilities” Program. This is with an aim of supporting the integration of Persons with Visual Disabilities in the society, as well as preparing them for the labor market.

A series of training sessions on ICDL modules are being held during the period from 19.02.2023 to 28.11.2023 for university students and fresh graduates with visual disabilities, with the aim of improving their employability prospects. The training is especially tailored for youth with visual disabilities, and aims at motivating and increasing self-confidence and self-esteem of the trainees as well as enhancing their skills to be able to engage in the labor market.

 

The ICDL training program comes under the umbrella of the project “Improving the Employability Prospect for Persons with Visual Disabilities”, which provide a set of different training programs with the objective of providing Persons with Disabilities with the skills they need to secure employment and to be marketable in the future.
