Improving the Employability Prospect for Persons with Visual Disabilities "ICDL Training Program"

Within its overall objective of supporting the participation of youth, women and persons with disabilities in the sustainable development, the Hanns Seidel Foundation and Bibliotheca Alexandrina have launched a program to provide inclusive accessible activities for youth, especially persons with disabilities, and to highlight the role of women in the society, in addition to raising the awareness on environmental strategies and initiatives.

The program incorporates a series of training workshops on ICDL modules. The sessions help improve the employability prospects for visually impaired university students. A series of capacity building workshops are designed in cooperation with experts to motivate and increase self-confidence and self-esteem of the trainees as well as enhancing their skills to be able to engage in the labor market. The sessions were provided to university students and fresh graduates with visual disabilities.
