During the period from 12.07.2023 to 10.08.2023, Taha Hussein library has held the soft skills program for persons with visual disability. The program aimed at educating persons with visual disability to communicate and build professional relationships. This is as well as rehabilitating them for the labor market, which is an important step to integrate them into the society.

Since persons with visual disabilities face many problems with enhancing their employment chances, as job-training programs do not provide persons with disabilities with the skills they need to secure employment and to be marketable in the future, one of the main objectives of the soft skills program was to provide the participants with the skills they need to secure a job.  Given that holding a job provides the participants with the means to support oneself and family, to engage in a regular daily routine, to experience and enjoy the job satisfaction and to increase self-esteem.
