Mid-Year Program for Persons with Visual Disabilities

A mid-year program was organized by Hanns Seidel Foundation and Bibliotheca Alexandrina to support the Economic Inclusion of Youth, Women and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in the Sustainable Development Process, which includes several tailored workshops to suit this target group and appeal to their taste and needs.

The Taha Hussein (TH) Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired organized the Mid-year Program in cooperation with HSS for children and youth aged between 5 to 20 years. This activity aimed at rehabilitating the visually impaired children to be integrated into the society the way their sighted peers are; enhancing their artistic and cultural skills and raising their awareness regrading physical and mental care and other life style concerns as well. Amongst the workshops there were: anatomy workshops, broadcasting workshops, short stories writing workshops, and decoration etiquette workshops.
