Seminar on Working Remotely in the Egyptian Administrative System

A seminar was organized by Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) and the Public Administration Research and Consultation Center (PARC) tackling the concept of remote working during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, remote working has become the norm and many employees are left confused and overwhelmed with this new method of working. HSS and PARC worked together in offering a seminar on remote working in the Egyptian administrative system to help promote efficiency in the quality of work during this period. Dr. Safwat Al-Nahas, Former Head of the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA), led the seminar attempting to find an answer to the following question: Is “remote working” an imposed working method due to the pandemic or is it a choice of preference that will remain constant?
