Summer Program for Persons with Visual Disabilities

Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized a capacity building summer program focusing on youth with visual disabilities aged between 5 to 20 years in order to enhance the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the sustainable development process.

06-07.2021

The summer program helped the participants to increase their capacity to communicate through art as it entailed several types of workshops; creative writing, performance, and music tales. Participants were challenged to tap into their inner artist and produce something different, helping them express their inner struggle through different media. The program included several workshops tailored to suit persons with visual disabilities. It aimed at enhancing their artistic and cultural skills and paved the way for them to be creative, independent and engage in new experiences.
