The impact of sports on the lives of persons with disabilities

The seminar was held in Cairo with attendance of a large number of Paralympic heroes from basketball, handball, taekwondo, and swimming teams. Both the Minister of Social Solidarity, Nivine El-Qabbage and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhy attended the conference to honor and empower the Paralympic heroes. They presented new governmental initiatives aimed at the inclusion of persons with disabilities. The conference was held ahead the Women’s international Day and included a panel discussion about the role of women, especially the disabled women, in their society highlighting the success stories of female paralympic heroines participating in the event.
