Within its efforts to rehabilitate Persons with visual Disabilities to be integrated into the society same way as their sighted peers, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, held the Summer Program for Persons with visual Disabilities.

During the period from 18.06.2023 to 07.09.2023, Taha Hussein library has held the summer program for persons with visual disability, aged between 5 to 20 years. The program was tailored to suit this category, with a group of sessions dedicated for the parents of the participants to provide them with guidance on how to best treat their children.

The workshops are designed in a way that helps enhancing the artistic, and cultural skills of Persons with visual Disabilities, as well as raising their awareness regrading physical and mental care and other life style concerns. The summer program aims at helping the participants gain new experience, sharpen their creativity along with supporting them to be self-independent.
