The workshop aimed to foster regional dialogue, promote knowledge exchange, and highlight replicable solutions. It brought together circular economy experts from across the MENA region to share insights, explore regional challenges, and showcase innovative practices that contribute to sustainable development and green job creation.

Throughout the 2-day workshop, experts the MENA region discussed the status quo of their countries with regard to Circular Economy Transition, as well as explored the challenges hindering such transition. They also engaged in group work sessions to define the Green Jobs Market priorities in the region, with the aim of defining a set of recommendations for capacity building training programs for job seekers in the MENA Region. This stemmed from the belief that investing in human capital was an essential factor to accelerate circular economy transition in the region and ensure the Just Transition principle is taken into consideration.
